By having open-source components for the hardware, you can be sure of the privacy and security in your mobile device. Components were chosen for their ability to run free and open software without any binaries and having public technical datasheets available for everyone. NECUNOS NC_1 will bring you back in control of your device. These open components are well suited for FOSS communities to build their FOSS software on.
Today there are really only two mobile operating systems with basically identical hardware from a few big manufacturers, they are all poor options regarding privacy. It seems like you have a choice, but all the options are near identical on the hardware and software level. With NECUNOS NC_1 you can choose from multiple different open-source community driven mobile operating systems and be part of their development efforts, be part of the movement towards privacy and the movement towards mobile choice.
The first NECUNOS NC_1 community edition is aimed for developers, early adopters, FOSS and Linux enthusiasts. It does not have a cellular modem for security and privacy reasons so you can be sure there is no backdoor access through it in your device. It is a secure hardware platform, but the end goal for NECUNOS mobile devices is to be fully featured privacy oriented open-source smartphone. NECUNOS NC_1 is manufactured in Finland, ensuring supply chain security and highest quality for the device.
